PKC REGION #1

Mr. John Venson, 8th degree black belt, resides in Chicago, Illinois where he has been teaching for more than 30 years. "Just For Kicks", is a traditional Okinawan Karate DoJo teaching classical Martial Arts principles in Shuri Ryu.

Mr. Venson's father, John H. Venson, was a black belt student under Grandmaster Robert A. Trias of the U.S.K.A. His son Reginald Venson, and daughter La-Toya Williams-Venson, both black belt instructors, continue the traditions established by personal and martial arts family lineage.

The year 2008 will mark the 35th year for Mr. Venson's Great Lakes National Championships, held in late May. This tournament, and several others, make up the PKC Region #1 Series (Northern Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin).
