capacity, coordinates the PKC's efforts worldwide. This office
handles all statistics on PKC point tournaments, and PKC membership.

well trained Officials. This office handles all statistics concerning
American Kickboxing and keeps accurate up-to-date files on all
officials and events.

that meets our criteria as professionals. These schools will
be permitted to display the PKC Associate

is on an Annual Basis, and helps to encourage & support your
State karate program. Contact your State Representative for

Individuals may join the PKC and
should do so to become eligible for its many benefits. This
should be done through their Karate instructor. New members
receive a certificate, membership card with personal ID#, and
patch.

an application to PKC Headquarters. After approved he/she will
be sent 2 gold patches along with a gold certificate, lapel
pin and laminated membership card with personal ID#. These items
will be renewed periodically for the life of the membership.
PKC Point Tournaments
The PKC has embarked on an extensive point tournament program.
The PKC sanctions tournaments across the U.S. and Canada. When
you see the PKC logo on a tournament flyer, it is the equivalent
to the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval". These tournaments
are scrutinized for fair play and to see that the awards justify
the entry fee. Competitors can be assured of getting their money's
worth at PKC sanctioned events. PKC Headquarters maintains National
point standings for PKC Members who place in the top 4 at any
PKC event. An annual banquet is then held in conjuction with
the PKC National Tournament & Convention to honor the Champions.
Quarterly results are made available to all PKC Associated Schools.
Point Tournament Officials Certification
The PKC has initiated and official certification program for
point tournaments. The head of this program is Mr. Tom Ward.
Mr. Ward has prepared extensive tests in this area to be taken
by Black Belts who care to upgrade their officiating abilities.
In some states all center referees have to be certified to officiate
at PKC sanctioned events.
PKC Promotion/Upgrade Committee
This committee gathers together the highest ranking Black Belts
in the PKC. The executive head of this committee is Mr. Ed
Bethea Jr, 8th degree Black Belt. This committee was formed
for the purpose of upgrading deserving PKC Black Belts, whom
for whatever reason have no way of advancing in rank. The committee
will not consider promotions for members who are attempting
to circumvent standards already in affect by their instructors.
This committee meets each year at the PKC Nationals. Members
may submit their request for promotion 1 weeks in advance for
consideration. There are strict guidelines followed in considering
promotion. If promotions are granted they will be presented
at the PKC Nationals.
Kickboxing/Clinics/Certification
We have an on-going certification program for PKC Supervisors,
Referees and Officials. Our Director of Referee Certification
is Mr. Truman Irving. Director of Officials Certification is
Mr. Dale McCutcheon. Both of these individuals have extensive
backgrounds in these areas. Our clinic programs are cost-effective
for promoters. They are also very helpful and informative when
putting on a PKC event.
PKC Fighters
The PKC is building a centralized listing of PKC fighters. Fighters
must pay an annual fee . This fee provides them with a PKC rule
book, membership card, certificate, & patch. Membership also
places their name on the fighter's list available to promoters.
